Stolen for Fashion Futures 2.0
The Prestigious International Development Programme in Partnership with CFDA NYC

Stolen for Fashion Futures 2.0

2016 marks a leg-up into going global for Stolen.

Earlier this year, we were awarded a highly sought-after spot in the Fashion Futures 2.0 Programme in prestigious partnership with the Council of Fashion Designers in America (CFDA).

The CFDA is a non-profit organisation that has, through the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, successfully turned several American designers such as Alexander Wang, Thom Browne, and Proenza Schouler into household names.

One of only three Singaporean brands handpicked by a selection committee of fashion industry leaders and insiders including Tjin Lee, chairman of Singapore Fashion Week (SFW); Debra Langley, brand consultant from Coraggio Asia; Walid Zaazaa, founder and creative director of multi-label boutique Manifesto; and Norman Tan, editor-in-chief of Buro 24/7 Singapore, Stolen was chosen based on three main criteria – design talent, business acumen and brand identity coherence.

In addition, this partnership will reintroduce Stolen as a brand to the American market following our fourth year participating in Coterie – but only this time, we are hoisted up to an international level with the strategic alliance with the CFDA.

What this award entails is a trip to the Big Apple to meet personally with top American fashion designers and the CFDA team. Stolen will also receive mentorship and coaching sessions from several fashion industry insiders, and more face time with international fashion showrooms.
