Deeply moved by our Zhiwa showcase back in 2019, our partner in China staged a recreation to bring the essence of ZHIWA to our Stolen customers in GuangZhou. Under designer Elyn’s direction (done remotely from Singapore), her vision was brought to life again, making it the first satellite fashion showcase for Stolen. Set in a charming shophouse on a Guangzhou backstreet, the sights, sounds, feels and smells of the entire experience was replicated, emulating the same astounding silence and devotion of Elyn’s journey to Bhutan. Completing the sensorial show, the guests were thereafter invited to try on and make purchases of the collection accompanied by refreshments also influenced by Bhutanese flavours.
In these trying times, we are inspired to be more open-minded, more experimental, and most importantly, more collaborative in our efforts to stay strong. So we sincerely appreciate the initiative of our partners to share our brand. To stage a presentation of such intricacy in the midst of a global pandemic, with retail enterprises experiencing an unprecedented pullback, was the kindest show of solidarity in our industry.
